How is leveraged profit calculated?

Your ROI equals your leverage multiplied by the percentage price move. For example, a 10% price move at 10x leverage is a 100% return on your margin. The calculator does this for both long and short positions.

What is liquidation price?

Liquidation is the price at which your losses equal your margin and the position is force-closed. Higher leverage means liquidation is closer to your entry. Our estimate excludes exchange fees and maintenance margin, so leave a buffer.

Is higher leverage better?

Not necessarily. Leverage multiplies both gains and losses and brings your liquidation price closer to entry. Most experienced traders use modest leverage and a stop-loss to manage risk.
